Cherry Creek Mortgage Company welcomes Candice Freeman as its new loan officer in its Grand Junction office. Candice has more than 15 years of experience in mortgage lending. Candice brings outstanding expertise in both sales and operations. Candice grew up on the western slope and when she recently had an opportunity to move back to Grand Junction, it didn’t take long for her and her husband Robert to say "yes" immediately. Rejuvenation Homes

Teri Styers, formerly of Ford Realty, has become an Employing Broker. Her new company, Rejuvenation Homes was formed under the umbrella of her existing corporation Rejuvenation Homes Inc.. Teri has been active in the home rehab and resell (flip) business for many years. Becoming an agent and now starting her own brokerage just made sense with her business model.

Teri’s knowledge of forced appreciation and investing in general has linked her with a number of investor clients. She speaks both rehab and cap rates.

Her family’s passion for drag racing has also provided her a steady clientele of "car guys" who need big garages. She knows what makes a great shop and can discern true RV parking.

She hopes to expand her company over the next year and plans to remain affiliated with Metro Brokers – where she was nominated Realtor of the Week for May 20-26, 2018.

Weichert, Realtors – Heiden Homes Realty recognizes top agents for April, 2018.

Jon Nash recorded the most sales transactions and the highest dollar volume in sales in April for Weichert, Realtors – Heiden Homes Realty. Cynthia Castaneda, Kathy Tomkins and Marlene Brunet tied for the most new listings for the month, during a period of low inventory in Mesa County.

Jon is a native of Kansas who moved to Vernal, Utah at a young age. He’s a graduate of Uintah High School, where he was Junior Class President and lettered in football and track. He focused on math, music and sports. Jon lived in Salt Lake City for 25 years, and has worked in the heating and air conditioning business for more than 20 years. He moved to Grand Junction two years ago and owns Comfort Zone Heating and Air.

Jon was recently recognized by Weichert, Realtors for his success in converting leads from the Weichert Leads Network into closed transactions. The Leads Network is a unique system that connects people inquiring about real estate to a Weichert agent in Grand Junction.

Jon married Misty Young on New Year’s Day this year. Misty, MSN, RN, NE-BC, is the Director of Medical Surgical Services line at St. Mary’s Hospital. She is a Montrose native and graduated from Olathe High School.

Jon has three adult children. Jessica lives in Vernal; Amelia lives in Salt Lake City and works for Discover Card, on the banking side of the business; and, Chance attends Colorado Mesa University, working toward a Business Degree. Jon also raised two stepsons: Nick Falbo, who is a firefighter in Phoenix and Frankie, who is a car salesman in Salt Lake City. Jon enjoyed raising and coaching his children in numerous sports.

Jon enjoys watching and attending sports events, especially football and hockey. He also enjoys live music and is a fan of 1980s rock. He also loves the outdoors, and activities that include camping, fishing, boating, hunting and golfing.

Cynthia Castaneda has been a Realtor since July 7, 2007 (7/7/7), and claims that was her lucky day. She has managed to maintain being a personal care provider for those in need while also making time for her real estate career.

She was also recently recognized by Weichert, Realtors for her success in converting leads from the Weichert Leads Network.

Cynthia has been married to Nicolas Castaneda for 32 years, and Valentine’s Day is their anniversary. She says Nicolas has been the backbone for her, as he has encouraged her to be the best she can be. The couple has two adult children: Dominique, who is Cindy’s personal assistant; and Nicholas Brandon, who serves in the Army and is stationed in Germany. Both are graduates of Central High School in Grand Junction. Cynthia and Nicolas have also helped people by allowing them to stay in their home. They currently help grandson C.J. Danza, who stays with them.

Cynthia attributes her success to the Lord and strives to help those in need and enjoys working with first-time homebuyers.

Kathy Tomkins has considerable construction and mobile home experience in addition to her work as a Realtor.

She previously owned Manufactured Home Parts, a mobile home supply business, and is an unlimited general contractor. She specialized in manufactured home sales and construction at Royal T’s Construction, LLC and she’s a licensed mobile home dealer. Tomkins previously owned a heavy equipment construction company for eight years and started a gravel pit in 1998.

Kathy has embraced work since she graduated from high school. She landed an office position at a local insurance company shortly after graduation. She later married Joe Tomkins, who passed away from cancer 21 years later. Kathy spent most of her married life as a housewife, but also worked at a dress shop at Mesa Mall.

Tomkins has three children: Joe Tomkins II, DeDee Case (who owns a trucking company with husband Boone Case) and A.K. Weaver, a graduate of Fruita Monument High School. Tomkins has two grandchildren: Shannia Case and Kendra Tomkins.

Marlene Brunet was in the hospitality business for 22 years and spent the last 10 of those years as an International Trainer for Choice Hotels. When the company closed in 2013, Marlene was recruited to spearhead the Outreach Center at Colorado Mesa University — a student-staffed call center reaching out to prospective students.

Marlene specializes in residential sales and rental/investment purchases.

Marlene has been married to Greg Brunet for 25 years. He is the general manager for Springhill Suites by Marriott in downtown Grand Junction. The Brunets have two daughters: McKenzie, who graduated this month from Colorado Mesa University; and Ashley, who attends Central High School.

Marlene enjoys camping, hiking and spending time with her family.
